While we’re big believers in one-time purchases when it comes to software, we realize people should have a way to try apps out before deciding to buy them. Sadly, the App Store has no such concept so we had to build it ourselves. It is out with Pentaton 1.2, so if you were hesitant to buy Pentaton without trying, now you should be able to run it for 30 days and take your time deciding if you like it.
We’re committed to improving Pentaton’s listening experience. Version 1.1 is now live in the AppStore it has some great improvements that we hope you’ll like.
One of our main goals with Pentaton is to make sure it is a delight to use. This might sound obvious, but making it so is very challenging. Things like accessing a network share can hang the whole app if not handled correctly and while we’re thing to anticipate many scenarios, we can never cover all of them.
If you are interested in trying Pentaton out, please shoot us a message at [email protected] and we’ll send you an App Store promo code that you can redeem to get it for free. All we ask in return is to let us know about your experience by email.
We are very excited to launch Pentaton, an audiophile music player for iOS. We’ve built it because we were not satisfied with what was out there.
We’ve spent three decades collecting music and have no desire to switch to streaming. We believe everybody should be able to pick their own poison wether that is some obscure genre or crazy high-resolution audio. With Pentaton, we’re giving you the control to enjoy your own music library, organized any way you like in whatever quality you prefer.
